The brush and cloth are quite good products, easily a 4/5. They’re both very convenient and it’s really nice to be able to brush my portafilter and basket after tamping, the brush works very well. The knock box is a little disappointing. While it is weighty and solid, some fundamental design elements make this a 1/5 star product. Underneath the stainless bucket is a foam pad that is attached via double sided tape, this is a problem is you enjoy just running everything under the tap, you need to take some extra care here so you’ll begin to degrade this – it could even start to go mouldy if you don’t let it properly dry as you can’t just wipe it down. The way the bar is attached is a problem – it has a bolt with threads on each end that you screw the end tips on. It doesn’t seal between the edge of the knockbox. This is a minor issue that requires further cleaning, but for a set that is 60€+ you’re better off buying a better knock box and using a simple microfibre cloth. As for the brush, maybe a simple paint brush? I do not recommend this product, it’s just too fussy. What I can recommend is a simpler one or two piece knockbox that is easier to clean. I ordered this because the knockbox options were this, the lighter weight sage knockbox, or the knockbox drawer systems (even more moving bits). This is a regrettable purchase, it looked good from a far but not in real life use.
